Show Police Chief Issues Appeal for Hunting Precautions Complaints have been filed quite frequently In the past few months against shooting on the outskirts of the city, partle-ularty partle-ularty by youngsters hunting rabbits. The situation has been especially bad south of town, city police officers state. The youngsters have apparent-ly apparent-ly been going into the brush areas immediately south of the city to hunt, which has cret ted a rather serious hazard. "This is too close to the city limits and homes in the area, as well as to the highway, for safety," Police Chief A. H. Lambert states, and warns the boys to ?o farther away to do their rabbit hunting target shooting. He points out that there has been no particular evidence of willful disregard for the law. However, the practice Is very dangerous, he says, and he appeals ap-peals to everyone to avoid hunting hunt-ing the area, r anywhere close to t city. |
