Show FISH AND GAME HIGHLIGHT Utah Department of Fish and Game spokesmen today listed the following deer hunting regulations regula-tions in reply to the vast number of inquiries coming to department depart-ment offices and field men. Careless hunting accidents may cost a hunting license. Any person per-son carelessly or negligently killing kill-ing or wounding another person while on a hunting trip shall be subject to a revocation of hunting hunt-ing privileges for a period of five years. Rifles must be no less than .23 caliber. It shall be' unlawful for any person at any time to hunt deer with any rifle less than .23 caleber. Deer cartridges must be at least 2 inches in length with expanding type bullets. It shall be unlawful for any person to fail to stop at checking stations or road blockades where a stop sign is displayed. No one under 16 years of age may hunt deer. Deer hunting must be confined to daylight hours. It shall be unlawful un-lawful for any person to hunt deer with a flashlight, spotlight, or any other type of artificial light. 1 It shall be unlawful for any person at any time to hunt deer with a dog or dogs. Questionnaires must be returned return-ed within five days. The postcard portion of the special deer permit must be completely filled out and returned to the Utah State Department De-partment of Fish and Game, 1596 VVest North Temple, Salt Lake City, not later than five days after af-ter the close of the deer hunt for the unit concerned. Spokesmen reminded that these are only part of the regulations that must be observed during the deer seasons. All governing laws are listed in the 1957 deer hunting hunt-ing proclamation.
