Mr. Lemmon was riding in the Skull Valley area looking for deer, when his horse stumbled and fell. Mr. Lemmons shoulder was broken in two places and his collar bone chipped in the fall. As he lay on the ground, stunned by the force of the fall, the horse got up and ambled back toward camp. When Mr. Lemmon finally regained an upright position, hi horse was not in sight and camp was nearly two miles away. - The elderiy man alternately trudged, sat down and rested, then staggered on some more until he finally reached camp several hours later. From there he was brought in by car to a Salt Lake hospital to have his shoulder treated eight hours after the accident.
