Show CtlRISTAN ENDEAVOR convention to be .Held here oct. 27-29 I Mrs. Rose Whitley of Ogden, state president of the Young People's . Christian Endeavor Society, has been in Mt. Pleasant during the past week making final arrangements for the coming Christian Endeavor Convention Conven-tion to be held -here October 27, 28 ' and 29th. While here Mrs. Whitley I made several addresses before the j local society and also spoke to the congregation of the First Presbyterian Presbyter-ian church. ', (Miss Edna Matson, register fori the coming convention, reports regis-1 trations coming in fast, Payson hav-! lng sent in more than her registra-' tton quota and will receive flag No. 1, and. will lead the big Christian Endeavor En-deavor parade during the convention, conven-tion, second honors have been a-iwarded a-iwarded to Gunnison. The local committees are working on final arrangements. During the convention the local society will present pre-sent the play, "The Arrival of Kitty," and several other special entertalc-,'rnent entertalc-,'rnent features are also being prepared. ; The decorating committee has requested re-quested all business houses and pub-; lie places to decorate in red and 'white, the society colors, during con .vention week. The delegates will be guests of the local members and will be entertained entertain-ed at their homes and in the Wasatch Academy dormitories. Football Game Included The football game between Westminster West-minster College and Wasatch Academy Acad-emy will be played on the Wasatch campus, Saturday afternoon, October 28 th. |
