Show I STORM STRIPPED CHICKENS Many Visitors Call it Farm to See Effects of "Freak" Wind. Many visitors were attracted to the farm of Harvey Lyman, between Newport New-port and Stanton, Del., to view the freak effects of a night's storm, news of which had spread. Neniiy all the chickens, ducks nnd 'eese were blown away. The few that remained hud been so tossed about they were stripped of their feathers. There was only one chicken coop left, l he others having been blown so far they have not yet been located. The barn was blown down, and the roof taken from the house, but the machinery ma-chinery nnd farm wagons In the barn were not even moved. A large water 'tank on the second floor was carried .overnl hundred feet. Clothing was blown from the third floor of the house and lodged In trees several hundred feet away. |
