This drift la being run on the 1800 level. The company la also doing some proapectlng on the 800 level, this work being done In anticipation of encountering the same body of ore which L. E. Rlter and associates have opened up In the Eureka Hill near the boundary line and according to Superintendent John Enlund thla work la showing up very good and It will not be surprising If ore la en- A SCARE INTO US at Work Is going along smoothly h Tlntio-Delawa- Eureka Bullion Company Work Showing Up Well . o Chief HOUND PROPOSITION, o s re Park To Be For Eureka People secreTlntle-Delawa- re Mining company of West Tintie and still heavily Interested in that property, stated early in the week that work would be resumed. Mr. Rawson explained that an understanding had been arrived at among the stockholders whereby the disagreements among them which have resulted In the virtual suspension of operations at the mine for nearly two years have beeh overcome and that plans to finance the company, pay off Its obligations and again begin mining of oro has taken definite shape. Is one of the The promising and well known properties of the West Tintie district. It has opened up and awaiting shipment a large volume of ore that will average 1 2 Vi per cent lead, the transportation of this low grade product being dependent upon the construction of a railroad into the district. In addition to this, the present development shows considerable high grade sulphides in the winzes, the ore running from 30 t'o 80 per cent lead and five to ten ounces in silver. Drifts have cut leads of ore that, ran up to seventy ounces in silver. The management, it Is stated, rl&ns to push both the drifting and sinking until permanent ore bodies of high grade ore are opened, from which the company can ship with prolit until such time as a railroad Is built, and engineers who are familiar with the property are confident that such bodies may be opened at depth. Should the arrival of the road be long delayed, the company will consider the erection of a reduction plant for the handling of Its large low grade deposits. - Out at the property of the Eureka Bullion Mining company of East TTntlc development work Is still promanner gressing In a satisfactory and although the work is carried on with only one shift the progress being made Is satisfactory to the ofWhen better times arrive, ficers. which should not be far distant now, additional men will be put on In order to 'speed up the work. At present the company Is driving a drift on the 925 level, which Is now In a distance of 75 feet, and the object of this work Is to reach a point directly beneath the ore which was encountered on the 800 level a little more than a year ago. Yesterday the drift broke Into the ore bearing lime of the same character which carried the values above and when the objective Is reached It Is thought that commercial ore will be encountered. Co. All of the work igthls mine Is being done by leasers and this system la proving very satisfactory to the company, about three cars of ore per week being sent out. The best block of ground at the preeent time Is one being worked by W. L. Anderson, who is taking out some real high grade ore. Mr. Anderson has been a very persistent leaser In the district for several years and It Is pleasing to note that his earnest efforts are being rewarded. o Tintie-Delawa-re May Boon Start Working the Bullion Beck property once more was after a long slack made necessary on account of repairing the shaft yolch has now perlo-whlc- Prospect drift being run into the Mammoth section, leas- The GETT1II6 READY TO THROW Number 50 o Definite action was taken on tie matter at a recent meeting of the city council; work to soon start. For some time the city officers have been considering the proposition of building a park and play grounds In our city and at the last city election the Citizens party, which Is now In office, had a plank In their platform to the effect that they would give us a park and playgrounds, and It is most gratifying to note that at a recent meeting of the city council definite action was taken on the matter. Five acres of ground In the northwest part of the city have been selected for the site and within a few days the work wlU be started. The ground will be plowed and fenced this fall and a great many of the trees necessary to beautify a park will also be planted. The aite which has been selected Is an ideal one as the ground Is quite level and It lies Just a short distance below the city well, which will make It quite easy to obtain water for purposes. The building of a park and play grounds In this city Is a big undertaking, much larger than one can hardly realize, but there la no time like the present time to start the thing a going, and In the course of a few years Eureka will have a beauty spot of which we all can be proud of.
