Burton of Parowan is here looking after the repairs which are necessary to the Burton house, as a result of the recent fire. The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith caught her arm in an electric elec-tric wringer last week and fractured the forearm. Mrs. Carrie Bakes and Mrs. George Munford, spent Tuesday here with their sister, Mrs. Oscar Larson. They are en route to Beaver for a visit. Miss Mary Sneddon is a new member mem-ber of the High School faculty. She will have charge of the English department, de-partment, taking Miss Russell's place Mrs. Rachel Jefferson left Sunday night for Moscow, Idaho, to visit relatives. From there she expects to go east and will be gone about three months. The Utah Transportation company building caught fire last week and in an attempt to extinguish the flames, someone turned the hose toward the front windows. The result is a relief re-lief to everyone who passes there. Someone who hasn't a thing against the Editor, expressed the wish that the News Office would catch on fire too. - I.Cline has sold the entire stock of the Golden Rule store to J. J. Sug-arman Sug-arman who will remove it to Los Angeles where it will be put on sale. Mr. Cline has not announced what his plans are for the future.
