Show I'CIU.IC PLAYGROUND COMMITTEE COM-MITTEE HOLD MEETING The general committee for the pub !i" play grounds held a meeting at the boy scout rooms at the public s(lu,;il Friday evening for the pur-jiose pur-jiose of discussing proper and necessary neces-sary equipment for the grounds. A decision was reached to make every possible effort to raise funds so that these grounds can be built up without with-out delay. The following committees were appointed: F l.VANTK COMMITTEE I). A .Baxter Mrs. George Atkin Mrs. C. C. Sloan Mrs. Mary A McKeon EQUIPMENT COMMITTEE Mrs. Sam Hanks Mrs. Fred Jefferson i Chairman, S. W. Stoker Mrs. Glenn Mrs. Ed. Bardsley AMUSEMENT COMMITTEE - Mrs. Al McKeon Mrs. J. Jeffers Mrs. S. W. Stoker : Mrs. Joe Kinney Mrs. Raines Ardath Johnson Delia Cottrell. Mrs. George Atkin representing the Service Star Legion, reported that this organization would givut the entire proceeds of their dance to be given the following Monday evening, even-ing, for the benefit of the playground Kirk volunteered to haul the sand necessary for the small children's sand piles as soon as it was desired. j Members of the general committee I have contributed toward this fund, j A tag day has been suggested to the amusement committee for the near ! future. : ! It will be necessary for every cii i iien to stand back of this movement ! n order to let the children enjoy this resort during the rest of the sea son. Are we ready? i A meeting of the general committee commit-tee will be held at the public school tiext Friday, 8:30 p. m. Reports will be made by the sub-committees.
