Show CITY BOARD HOLDSJEETING Present at the meeting: W. F. Cottrell, E. H. Bird. C. T. Woodbury, lark Kesler, Charles Beard. Minutes of the last meeting were signed by the president of the board. The following bills were allowed and upon motion duly seconded and carried were ordered paid. Burns and Bird Company, Ws $S-80, $S-80, Telluride Power Company, $177.00 Gibson and Luke, Street, $S.00 Smoot Lumber Company, Stray Pound, $14.87. H. H. Pitchforth, Gen. Health, $3.50. Milford P. and S. C. Ws, $95.53. Beaver County News, St. P. Ws. office, $22.00 Herbert Nichols, Justice Fees $52. Chas Baxter, Stray Pound, $3.00 Jefferson Merc. Co., Stray Pound, $17.94. City Transfer, Ws. $1.50. Sloan & Company, Ws. 6 0c. A letter from the Telluride Power Company with reference to the rates "harged by them for power, was read No action taken. This matter was left for the new board. This concluded the activities of the retiring board of trustees, and the retiring president, Mr. W. F. Cottrell, then turned over the chair to President Ed. Marksheffel of the new board. Members present: E. E. Markshef fel, H. T. Martin, C. J. Mclntire, P. J. Evans. All members having qualified and taken the oath of office, the board proceeded to transact business. The bill of C. T. Woodbury for $25.00, premium on bonds of officials was read. Upon a motion duly seconded sec-onded and carried this bill was ordered or-dered paid. The clerk then read the applications applica-tions of John Kirk, D. B. James and A. P. McKeon for the position of marshal. mar-shal. The names of Jos Hickman, Joe Mathews, and Eb Tanner Jr. were offered by members present. A. vote was taken by secret ballot and showed three votes for Joseph Mathews, one for John Kirk, President Pres-ident of the board not voting. Mr. Mathews was therefore declared mar shal of the town for the coming term. On a motion duly seconded and carried, E. B." jorgensen was appointed ap-pointed clerk of the board for the term. Vote showed four for, none against. , . On a motion duly seconded and car ried, Herbert Nichols was appointed justice of the peace for the term. Vote showed four for none agaiust. On a motion duly seconded and ca' -' ried, R. G. Siewert was appoint.' treasurer for the term.
