Jessee entertained friends at an oyster supper and radio party Saturday evening of last week. Ten guests were present. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Whiting, Mr. and Mrs. Winn Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Acel Thorn, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. John Whiting Whit-ing and Mr. and Mrs. Will Alleman Alle-man attended the comic opera, "The Gingham Girl," at the Columbia theater in Provo, Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Whiting left for Los Angeles, Calif., Thursday morning. They will visit for about three weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Packard. Mrs. C. A. Boyer has gone to Sacramento, Calif., to spend the winter with her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Boyer. The Blue Bird Sewing club held its meeting last Saturday at the home of Miss Ruth Streets. Mrs. N. Beal is visiting in Salt Lake City. Miss Marjorie Parker visited j with friends at Soldier Summit I this week. Mrs. Arthur Finley entertained at a birthday party Thursday afternoon after-noon for her son Paul. Refresh-, ments were served to about twelve guests. Miss Anna Crandail, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Crandall, Jr., entertained at her home Monday Mon-day evening in honor of Miss Darley Crandall. A program was given, consisting of solo dances by Loris Snelson and Darley Crandall, and a reading by Madeline Murray. Dancing and games were enjoyed. Luncheon was served to twelve. The Alpha Beta club ladies entertained enter-tained for their husbands Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. G. W. Mendenhnll. A program of music was enjoyed. Selections were played play-ed by the orchestra, consisting of club members. Mrs. Mary Childs gave a solo dance, Howard Menden-hall, Menden-hall, accompanied by Alberta Men-denhall, Men-denhall, played a violin solo. A basket lunch was served to about forty-two persons. The junior girls of , the Second ward Y. L. M. I. A. enjoyed a social so-cial at the meeting house last Friday Fri-day night. Refreshments were served. Mrs. John R.
