On their return to Mt. Pleasant Sunday afternoon, they were involved in a highway mishap on the icy road about 15 miles west of Duchesne. The young folks returned to Myton to spend the night at the Robinson home Mr. Robinson took them to Mt. Pleasant Monday, while Mr. Miller remained in Duchesne until his car was repaired later Monday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 10:30 a. m. in Berg Mortuary under direction of the Provo Third LDS Ward bishopric. Burial was in the Provo City Burial Park. He married Laura Ann Ewell, May 29, 1893, in Spring Glen, Carbon County. This marriage later was solemnized in the Manti Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked in the timber country and in sawmills, then returned to Midway, where he engaged in farming until 1905, when he moved his family to Provo and was employed by the Utah Power and Light Co. In 1907, at the time the reservation was opened for homesteading, the family moved to Myton and lived on a farm. In 1916, he became a ditch rider for the Uintah and Ouray Indian Irrigation Service, serving in that capacity for 22 years. He was retired in 1933 because of an accident which disabled him. He and his wife moved to American Fork In 1939 find n few years later took up residence in Provo', where he made his home until the time of his death.
