UP TO on a new 1954 services were conducted Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Ann Nelsen Wight 92, who died Sunday morning at a Brigham City Hospital from the effects of a broken hip which she suffered in a fall earlier in the week. Mrs. Wight was born Jan. 12, 18C2 in Brigham City, a daugh ter of James and Marrie Nelsen Nelsen. She wa3 reared in Bri gham City, and married Almon Lyman Wight Jan. 17, 1834 in the Old Salt Lake Endowment house. They moved to Perry in 1900, and to East Tremonton 1906, and to Thatcher in 1910. She has lived in Thatcher since that time until the last few years, when she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Eva Forsgren in Corinne. Active In Church An active member of the Church, Mrs. Wight worked in the auxiliary organizations in Perry, and as a counselor and president of the Relief Society in the Thatcher Ward. Mr. Wight died May 15, 1928. Surviving are the following sons and daughters, A. N. Wight. Tremonton; Mrs. Sylvia Dunn, Thatcher; Mrs. Eva Forsgren. Corinne; Lyman Wight, Perry; Reed J. Wight, Ogden; and Mrs. Erma Nielsen, Salt Lake City; also 25 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren. James Wight, former bishop of the Thatcher ward conducted the funeral in the Tremonton First ward chapel. Joan Wald-ro- n played the organ prelude and postlude and Joseph J. Nelson offered the invocation. A mixed quartet with Leslie and Maurine Wight. Verl Wald-roand Evan Christensen sang, "Oh My Father," as the first song. They were accompanied by Joan Waldron. Francessa Summers, gave a historical sketch of the life of her grandmother, and Lowell Cutler was the first speaker. A duet, "Beyond the Sunset," was sung by Florence Wight and Ruth Ilirschi, after which C. E. Smith spoke of his assoca-ation- s with the Wight family. An original tribute to Grandmother Wight was then given by Maurine Wight, followed by a talk by Clarence Anderson of Trenton.
