As everyone in the area knows by now, he died in a helicopter crash near Powder Mountain on January 3, !993. Daren's lively spirit and zest for life touched the lives of so many Park City residents, from the good people at Wasatch Brew Pub where he worked and Cole Sport where he was also employed. Daren was instrumental in organizing Park City's First Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. Friends and loyalty, fun and the outdoors were Daren's passions. Daren was born in Boston, Massachusetts November 24, 1967, the son of Devia (Ferrini) and Dominic Barbera, currently of Boston , Massachusetts. He is survived also by his brother, Dan of Los Angeles, California and his maternal grandmother, Vera Ferrini of Brockton, Massachusetts Massachuset-ts and paternal grandmother Rosina Schultz and her son John of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. He also has a large and loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins in the greater Boston area and in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where he spent his early years before the family moved to Irasburg, Vermont, where Daren has many loyal friends from Sacred Heart - j ,. 'O V Av V- v , y i Y i - ti Daren Barbera High School in Newport, Vermont, from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont and the University of Southern Maine. His family wishes to express admiration and gratitude to all his friends, including Morgan Fisher and Bob Ward for their love and support. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Chez Betty restaurant in Park City. David Scott Wright David Scott Wright was killed in a helicopter accident near Wolf Creek January 3, 1992. He was born May 2, 1959 to Frank and Kay Grimes Wright at Laredo Air Force Base, Texas. He is survived by his wife Abigail Watts Wright and his daughter Hillary, age five. He was an Emmy award winning film photographer. Services for Wright will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Park City Community Church. I I ' a i 1 David Wright v Brent Patterson Brent Morton Patterson, 28, of Ogden, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1993 in a helicopter crash. He was born May 7, 1964 in Ogden to James E. And Suzanne Hendrick Patterson. Graduated from Bonneville High School; member of the golf team and marching band. He was raised in the Christian Science Sunday School. Attended Pepperdine University in California, and graduated from the University of Utah in 1989. Married Jill Noe on June 13, 1992. He was a member of the ParkCity Volunteer Ski Patrol for seven years, also a member of the Ogden Golf and Country Club and the Chamber-OgdenWeber. He was the general manager for Your Valet Cleaners, Inc. and owner of Diamond Peaks Heli-Ski Adventures. He was also the general manager of Mountain Cliffe Ski Resort in West Cliff, Colorado. Brent gave 110 percent to everything he did. His love of skiing led him to form Diamond Peaks Heli-Ski Adventures. He believed in the potential of the Ogden Valley as a ski area and served on the Convention Visitors Bureau and the Ogden Valley travel Recreation Co-op Team. His enthusiasm for living was contagious. He will be remembered for his sensitivity and caring ways. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Jill of Ogden; parents Jim and Suzy of Ogden; sister, Alice Anne Patterson of Ogden. Services will be Friday at 1 1 a.m. at Leavitt's Chapel of Flowers Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
