For entrepreneur Sharon Bogart. gourmet coffee and hot drinks have merged a personal passion with a moneymaking business. This fall, bogart launched Shari's Coffee, a dersonal cappuccino catering service, and she is busy booking dinrter parties, holiday gatherings, bridal and baby showers, celebrations, weddings, business meetijigs and family reunions. Wearing a coffee-cupped ?pron with white steaming wisps, Uogart enjoys a rich mocha and explains her introduction to the ooffec industry. She became enchanted with coffee after marwing her husband, and the idea for coffee catering came from a friend in California. After a few rionths, it has already turned into "a love" that grows with each event. Connoisseurs of hot drinks can enjoy Iattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, regular coffee, tea, espresso, and pastries, all selected and arranged specially for each cccasion. All coffee beans are f urchascd from a local roaster and include organic, fair-trade doffecs. Having lived in Utah for sjsven years, Bogart wanted to "jstay local" with "top-quality products. "I appreciate having thie option to purchase it." She caters to specific tastes and atmospheres from "elegant and fr>rmal" to "casual and fun." Bogart owns all of her equipment, including espresso nSachines, ceramic mugs, saucers dnd paper goods, matched fur each event, for which she transports the entire set-up herself. Having grown up on a dairy farm in Minnesota, waking at 5 a.m. to milk cows and carry hay bales. Bogart prides herself on being a hard worker. "My favorite jobs have been in food service. I love to serve people. I like to see people's reactions after they enjoy something."
