Show Davis Dartboard By JOEL ROBINS It's February 3rd, and all's well at Davis High. February is such an inspiring month and what a fun month it is. It has Valentine's Day, Sadie Hawkins, the long awaited Lovers Feast, wrestling tournaments, tourna-ments, boys' and girls' basketball, lots of musical ensembles and fes-tivals, fes-tivals, debates, assemblies, stomps and my personal favorite, Presidents' Day. What a great month, there's something for everyone, going on all the time. Let's start naming the events with the ones beginning on Feb. 3. On that Wednesday there is a solo ensemble at Woods Cross at 4 p.m. That should be excellent, especially especial-ly for you music buffs. On Thursday, Thurs-day, Feb. 4 the girls' b-ball team plays Bountiful at home at 4 p.m. Davis will be hosting the Region 4 championship wrestling tournament tourna-ment on Thursday and Friday. Speaking of Friday, the boys' basketball team will play East at home at 7:30 p.m. Directly after the game there will be a stomp. On Saturday, the 6th there is a band thing at the U. of U. I'm not sure on the details so check around at school for more information. Alright let's check the list and see how many activities have been listed so far. Girls' and boys' b-ball b-ball check, ensembles and a band thing check, wrestling check, and a stomp) check. That's quite a few, especially for just four days. And wouldn't you know it, I even forgot to list some more basketball games. On Tusesday, Feb. 9, the girls play at East at 4 and the boys play at Woods Cross at 7:30. And that's the week in sports. Before I sign-off I have just one last reminder about the Lovers Feast. It's coming up on Feb. 12 and 13. Look for more details next week. It was a very short reminder, but just enough to get you excited. I'm done. Have a fantastic first week of February. |
