Show SPRINGDALE RESIDENT CAllEDjy DEATH Donald JoDey, Aged 55, Dies at Heme cf Daughter last Friday. Robert Donald Jolley, 55, died at the heme of his daughter, Mrs. Austin Aus-tin Gifford, Friday,. February 28. Mr. Jolley was born at Mt. Carmel March 3, 1375. In 1892 he was married mar-ried to MJary E. Allred of Shones-burg, Shones-burg, and soon after moved to Wyoming, Wy-oming, then to Montana and later to Idaho, remaining there about 20 years. In 1913 he was advised by his physician phy-sician to come to Utah's Dixie for his health, but has suffered a great deal here with asthma. Throughout all his illness he seldom complained complain-ed and continued to work as long as he was able to be up. He was especially known for his independent independ-ent cheerful nature, and he believed that it was better to give than receive and was very generous and honest. He was a devoted husband and father. His wife died about a year ago. They are survived by a respected respect-ed and honored family. The living children are: Donald J. Jolley of the Zion National park service, Mrs. Ivie Gifford, Mrs. Bessie Ruesch, Mrs. Mildred DeMill, and Mrs. Vivian Olsen, all of Springdale, and the following brothers and sisters: Heber Jolley, Leaton; John M. Jolley, Jol-ley, Washington, Wesley Jolley, of Provo; Mrs. Lidia Hansen, Emery; Mrs. Seielda Bastian, Haydin, and Mrs. Louise Olsen of Lovell, Wyoming. Wy-oming. Funeral services were held in the Rockville chapel Sunday at 11 o'clock. There was a large attendance attend-ance and a profusion of floral offerings, of-ferings, including a large bouquet of cut flowers from the National Park service. Those from outside places attending at-tending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. John M. Jolley of Washington, Wash-ington, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Harris of Provo, Nethe Jolley and Bert Keate of Cedar City and Clinton Jolley of Provo. |
