R. Stewart of the University of Utah, who is preparing a thesis leading to a masters degree in physical education. Mr. Stewart was a visitor in Price Tuesday in connection with a statewide survey he is making of school athletic facilities. He expressed the opinion that the outdoor athletic setup at the local preparatory institution is well above average, but he was emphatic in stating that indoor arrangements from the standpoint of space and equipment are wholly inadequate for a school of the size of Carbon. He stated that the school here is size far below institutions of simi in this matter and hardly ranks with many other schools having an enrollment much smaller. Mr. Stewart called attention to the fact that indoor accommodations are adequate for only 90 students, whereas 300 or more are registered for physical education. KENTUCKY Contest Scheduled ed in the seventh. He was relieved by Lefty Cole, who in turn gave way to Sammy Christensen. For the second successive week, Sammy was charged with the defeat. Helper, on the short end of an 8 count at the end of the sixth, pushed over one run in the seventh and added three in the eighth to pull the game out of the fire. Smith, Helper first sacker, clouted out a home run and a single to set the pace for the victors, he being the only Helper player to connect safely more than once. Jensen and Paur, each with three for five, led the Provo attack. This time a popularity contest to choose a king will be held, and justly so, for the riot, although it will provide plenty of entertainment for the feminine brigade, is essentially a mans affair. The male who will be chosen to rule during the two-da- y festival will bear the official title of the kingfish. Although the women will be out of the spotlight in this competition, they nevertheless can make themselves much in evidence by taking an active part in selection of the king. Each candidate will receive 100 registration votes and for a limited time merchants will give away free votes. After that, theyll cost one cent each.
