citizens recognized him as a street preacher who had been in Ogden for several week during the fall and whose name was A G Mc Allister Consequently after making Alster a thorough investigation covering a period of several days the coroners jury decided that the man was George O Davis and also A G McAllis ter With such evidence as they had it was difficult for the jury to do difcul otherwise but McAllister says he is not dead and McAllister ought to be believed under the circumstances This clears up the mystery in part but makes it all the more clear that the dead man was not the impecunious street preacher but George O Davis stret who had drawn 600 from the Canadian Valley Bank of Canadian Tex a week Yaley or two before his death and who even up to the hour of his death was men for the championship of tho two states began yesterday at the Wa I satch track Great interest was manifested mani-fested in the event and a large crowd was at the track A little snow fell in the early morning but most of the day the weather was fne A comfortably warm tent was set apart for the shooters of each team The best of feeling prevailed pre-vailed and the Montana men were generously gener-ously applauded for good ork However the sympathies of the crowd and especially espec-ially of the exuberant part of i were with the Ogden shots and they were most heartily cheered The day
