Show Miss Whitcomb and R. J. Barnes United Miss Enid Louise Whitcomb became be-came the bride of Richard Jay Barnes in rites solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple with EIRay L. Christiansen, president, officiating. Immediately following the ceremony cere-mony the newlyweds were honored at a wedding breakfast at the Doll House given by the parents of the benedict, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Barnes of Ogden. The bridal pair were honored hon-ored at the Monument Park Fourth LDS Ward at a reception, with the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Whitcomb, 2537 E. 17th South as hosts. For the occasion the bride chose a floor length gown of chantilly lace and tulle underscored with satin. Her elbow-length veil of bridal illusion was held by a crown of pearls and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and stephanotis encircling a white orchid. In identical gowns of emerald green peau dior were the bridal attendants, at-tendants, Mrs. Arthur F. Budge, matron of honor; Mrs. Grant Har-bertson Har-bertson and Miss Ann Anderson. As best man Douglas Barnes stood for his brother with Kenneth Alford, Arthur F. Budge and Larry Baird ushering. Home for the newlyweds will be Sacramento, Calif., while the bridegroom is stationed at McClelland McClel-land Air Force Base as a lieutenant lieuten-ant with the U.S. Air Force. |
