| Show WILSON DIES at rev peter A simpkins tribute to the deceased FUNERAL AT SALT LAKE CITY THURSDAY LAST funeral services acts ts over the remains of alexander Ale Kader S wilson who died at st marks hospital at salt lake city tuesday of last week were he d on thursday last from the fifteenth ward meeting house many members of the family and friends attending deceased was born in ayrshire scotland march 21 he ile was nv married to miss aliss isabelle law in scotland in 1876 by which mar marriage ariage he had nine sons and one daughter three of the sons were killed in the scofield explosion in aich which deceased and another son were badly hurt the other sons and his widow survive him sandy wilson had worked in the coal mines of utah and wyoming haing come to utah in 1881 he was as a charter member of rathbone lodge no 9 of the knights of pythian pythia 4 and clear creek lodge no 40 independent order of odd fel lows los he ile was in good standing in both of these lodges at the time of his death af after ter the scofield explosion deceased and james pittman were given the saloon privilege at clear creek which aich they held up to about SIK six months since ia when hen the same u was as transferred to the magnolia trading compan compa nv shortly acte bards wilson bought property at salt lake city and moved there with ith his fam fain ily lly his death came as asur a surprise prie to everyone in carbon county his most intimate friends not being aware aare of I 1 his illness the principal speaker at the funeral services were ere bishop j john 11 boud horace dark clark james I 1 stevenson I 1 J JS traver james W u ure re and rev P A simpkin said the rev ten bears ago simpkin this man met with ith an accident in which both of his arms and both legs logs were ere broken in the same ac ident he lost three of his sons and since that time his life has been burdened with kith one continual round of sorrows ev Es en now one of brother both lie at st his son and a marka hospital in a critical condition and sandy himself has been in the hospital three times during the I 1 last ast year he ile was as a fine honest sunny hearted hman and I 1 lo 10 loved ed him 1 for his good nature kindliness and C charitable hari table disposition he had one failing he loved his glass but that failing was far overshadowed do ed by his open hearted generosity hii cheerful disposition and his many other good qualities |
