Personnel representatives at Thiokol Chemical Corp.s local plant report that there is an urgent need for houses, apartments, private sleeping rooms, and places for room and board for newcomers to this area. At the present time, personnel at the large rocket engine manufacturing plant numbers 300 and the plant will continue to grow at an accelerated rate between now and the end of the year, plant officials said this week. Housing accomodations will be needed in the immediate future for 20 men and their families who will be coming to Brigham City to begin work for Thiokol during the coming month. It was pointed out that at the present time there is a dire need for accomodations for room and board for six single men working at the plant. People in Brigham City who formerly had apartments in their basements or in a part of their house, are asked to cooperate by reconverting these units into comfortable living quarters for newcomers.
