Show Golden Wedding Day Temple Vows Unite Gregg And Sheppick James G. and Pappas will honor their parents at a reception on Sunday, August 10th, from 1:30 to 3: 30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall, 2840 South 9000 West, in Magna, on the occasion of their 50th wedding The children Jeanette in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A wed- ding breakfast followed the ceremony at the Lion House and the reception for the couple was held at the Chateau in Country Square. Mr. and Mrs. Mike B of James V. Shelley Saxton Married In Alston Shelley Dawn Saxton of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Sheppick Jenine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas D. Gregg of Granger and is a graduate of Granger high. Nathan is a graduate of Cyprus high and is presently a student at Utah Technical college. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Sheppick. Chosen for maid of honor was Cathy Davis and bridesmaids were Toni Bailey and April Gregg. Best man for Nathan was Clark Hill and ushering were Kevin, David, Paul, Mark and Chad Sheppick. The newlyweds will make their home in West Jordan after they return from their honeymoon in Wan-shiwhere they have a cabin. An-nal- p newlyweds. Parents of the bride, who is a Murray high graduate and a student at the University of Utah, are Mr. and Mrs Henry Boogaard of Wilford Drive in Murray. The grooms parents are Mr. and Mrs. Quentin L. R. Alston of Salt Lake. He is a graduate of Skyline high and is presently a student at Utah Technical college. Karen Dearing was matron of honor for the bride while Lisa Watts, Cindy Pangos, Jackie Champers and Leslie Boogaard were bridesmaids. Flower girls were Kari Ann Boogaard and Heidi Boogaard, and Mrs. Amy Paul, the brides grandmother, attended the guest book. Best man for Mike was Mark Boucher and ushers were Rod Boogaard and Craig and Steve Boogaard. The newlyweds plan to make their home in Granger after touring the Northwestern United States on their honeymoon. THINK & Pants Mr. Pappas was reared in Magna and worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation 48 continuous years, retiring Jan. 1, 1972. At the time of his retirement he was a versatile worker in the foundry department of the industrial concern. Mrs. Pappas came to Ogden, from New York, before moving to Magna in September 1928 and becoming extremely active in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. She has taught religion for many years, in addition to being tutor of the summer vacation school classes whenever they were held, and has also given special help to children as needed. An open house was also held for the newlyweds on July 19 in St. George at the Dixie College outdoor fountain. Shelley is a Cottonwood high graduate and attended Southern Utah State College. Gerald is a Dixie high graduate and has attended Dixie College and Southern Utah State College. He has also served an LDS mission to Boston, Massachusetts. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George 0. Rampton of St. George. The bridal party consisted of Saxton, Julie Houtze, Jackie Bunn and Pamela Bell as attendants and Melissa and Merianne Kroff were flower girls. And when the Catholic Religion Center was constructed in 1965, Father Lawrence Spellen, then pastor of Lourdes Church, decided that Mrs. Pappas should teach the preschool and kindergarten which she has continued to do until the present time. Mr. Pappas is the son of the late Gus A.
