Show DIED Last Monday morning Karl Grotcgut one of the old residents of the Fourth ward passed peacefully away having been in poor health for some time The Immediate cause of his death was pneumonia and bronchitis He was a native of Denmark and lived in Spanish I Fork about forty years and was recog nized by all as a good neighbor and citizen The funeral services were held in the Fourth ward meeting house Wednesday afternoon Bishop Hansen presiding Singing by the choir and t Edward Williams The speakers were August Swenscn C R Larsen and I Bishop 5 i A J Hansen l William Banks one of the pioneers j of Spanish Fork passed away at his home In the Fourth ward Wednesday having been failing in health rapidly I during tho winter months About ten days ago gangreen set In in one of his feet and a day or two later the other j foot was also affected with the same disease Preparations were made togo to-go to Salt Lake to have the feet amputated am-putated but owing to the fact that Mr Banks was sinking rapidly it was decided not to go to the hospital He I was one of the best known citizens of this city having been in charge of the I Coop butcher shop for over thirty years filling that position till last fall He was 73 years of age The funeral services will be held at the City Pavilion Pavil-ion Friday at 2 p m i i |
