LEGAL NOTICE matter October 6, 1944 at the post Kanab, Utah, under the Act of March 3, 1879. second-clas- s ACTIVITY FOR ALL y A MATTER OF PRIDE A dty rises or falls in the battle of progress in terms of the collective action of the individual citizens. Our cities need the efforts and enthusiastic participation of all of us in the field of civic involvement and civic pride. A citizen certainly has an obligation to get involved in projects of civic betterment, just the same as he has an obligation in the areas of church service and family responsibility. The next big question becomes that of deciding just where our city can use my particular efforts to the best advantage. If you belong to a local civic club that expends time and effort in building civic projects, the answer is quite obvious. There are other important positions of service, however, and they need workers. The coming of spring brings with it the annual responsibilities of a good clean up campaign. In Kanab it began last Saturday and undoubtedly in other communities similar campaigns have been city-wid- e organized. Everyday we can cast a vote for civic betterment by supporting local businesses in their efforts to expand and beautify their opctions. We can help also in other ways besides making individual purchases and that is by offering them helpful suggestions and ideas that will improve or simplify their business. These suggestions will not be resented but will be appreciated and applied in many instances. Remember, its your town and you get out of it only what you and all of us collectively put into it If you want to grow and progress, then you and the total effort of action from the expended actions of all of us will be needed to make it possible. Are you proud of our little cities in the west? Well, how about showing just how proud you are! Kanab High School News That time of the year has rolled around again and KHS, entering the home stretch to summer, begins to look to next year.
