Show Appointments Recently Made At College Approval of vouchers and the appointment of new faculty members mem-bers at Utah State Agricultural college for the ensuing year took place at the regular monthly meeting meet-ing of the college board of trustees trus-tees which was held on the campus cam-pus Saturday. Appointments approved were: Al-vin Al-vin C. Carpenter, assistant professor pro-fessor of agricultural economics, replacing Dr. Walter Fuhriman who resigned; Mary Grace Ny-tinger, Ny-tinger, instructor in textiles and clothing, one-year appointment; Mary M. Shaw, assistant in foods and nutrition, one-year appaoint-ment, appaoint-ment, Howard Peterson, instructor in soils, replacing Professor D. W. .Pittman who is on leave, Ralph Calbert, Instructor in mathematics, .Paul Scherbel, assistant in library, replacing ZelJa Allred, resigned; Xaura Johnson, stenographer in -the Utah Agricultural expriment station; Mrs. Frances Foster, sten--ographer in the animal husbandry . department. The board also favored the appointment ap-pointment of the following grad- uate assistantships: Faith Waters, Institutional management ; Vasil Vo-selef, Vo-selef, botany department; Brent " Weight, weed research and Ruth Hobbins, physical education. A policy was also established by the board at the meeting regarding re-garding students who are members of the national guard. It was decided de-cided that after students are registered reg-istered and then called to the service ser-vice they will be refunded on the hasis of credits carried or incompletes incom-pletes accepted. Following the meeting the mem-'iers mem-'iers attended the Utah State-San Jose football game in the Aggie Stadium. |
