Show Enterprise Review Page 3b Limestone Project Awaits Approval A trio of Utah men who have formed a partnership to mine limestone in Tooele and Ut ah Counties is currently waiting approval of their environmen- tal reclamation plan by the state, and approval of a contract with a buyer of the product. Jack Madsen and Darrel L. Ross of Provo and H. Clyde Davis of Orem are the three Utah partners. Lynn Stewart of Oklahoma is also participating in the plan. Two of us are geologists. We found the mine,' explained Madsen. Lynn Stewart has the equipment for mining, he added. The men hope to sign a contract for limestone dusting, which is less than three percent silica. The product is crushed very fme and blown into the mine. There, it adheres to particles of coal. The process, called rock dusting makes coal mining safer because the two elements form a mixture, Madsen explained. non-explosi- ve Albertsons Credits Expansion to Increased Earnings Albertson's, Inc., announced substantial growth in both sales and earnings for past fiscal year. Warren E. McCain, Pree sident of the superchain market headquartered in Boise, Idaho, announced sales for the 52 weeks ended January 31, 1976, totaled $1,261,124,076, an increase of 315-stor- 22 percent over the $1,046,104,683 reported for the 52 weeks ended February 1, 1975. Earnings for the 52 weeks ended January 31, 1976 amounted to $15,792,467, or $2.38 per share, compared to $11,701,540, or $1.85 per share reported for the 52 weeks ended February 1, 1975, an increase of 29 percent on a per share basis. ther aggressive expansion Sales for the 13 week quarter ended January 31, 1976, totaled $334,843,750, an increase of 20 percent over 13 week quarter sales of $279,015,511 reported a year ago.
