Show Opinions The Gunnison Valley Gazette Page 2 Three bean salad and salmon patties Just A Thought By MARK HENLINE If my children had their way, I think we would have a sleep-over at the house every night. My kids love to sleep out on the trampoline with their friends. I always hated sleeping on the trampoline because by morning, everyone had slid to the middle and I felt like I was in a can of worms. I have a lot of memories from sleep-overs when I was a kid. When I was pretty young, probably seven or eight, we always had a sleepover ritual we would do before we would climb into bed. We called it "Crumbing out the bed." To "crumb out the bed," you had to pull the sheets back, then brush all the crumbs off the bed and onto the floor. What those crumbs were, I don't know. But I do know they were there and you had to get rid of them. My first New Year's Eve sleep-over was at my friend Sterling's house. Sterling's mom was cool and would always try to do fun things for us kids. On this night she made us popcorn and gave us root beer. Then just before midnight she brought each of us a big wooden Thursday, October 13, 2005 Letters to the editor.
