Changes are evident everywhere you look as you walk around the property. There are work- • men everywhere, painting, redesigning walls, installing new wall board, clearing weeds, grading roads and constructing fences. You name, it, and it is being done. Keep watching, because when the renovation is done the decor will have the look of "John Wayne meets Club Med". This all started with one mans vision, and that man is Kreg Gillman, PhD. and former HCEO of Provo Canyon School and Executive Director at Aspen Ranch. Dr. Gillman has been working on development of this project for the past year. Working with Dr. Gillman is Eric Fawson who is the Program Director and Clinical Psychotherapist, Nicholas Pakidko the Academic Director/ Principal and Denise Westman, Director of Mar- keting and Admissions. The boys that will be enrolled at the Silverado Boys Ranch will range in age from 13-17. The Ranch will facilitate an environment for boys in which life circumstances have created an imbalance. At the Ranch, they will learn new skills on how regain the missing balance through Work, Love and Play. These boys will come from cities all over the country, and will have the chance to experience the beauty that surrounds Panguitch, that those of us who live here sometimes take for granted. . Each boy will be at the Ranch for 912 months, and will also have quarterly visits with their parents to show their progress. The parents will have the opportunity to also get the necessary guidance they need. The parents will be staying at the local motels in town during these visits. Staying at the motels and eating and shopping in town will add to the local economy. The secret of a good sermon is to have a good beginning and a good ending, then having the two as dose together as possible. George Burns •?4*F by Ten Morse BOXHOLDER ^3^. The program that has been set up at the Silverado Boys Ranch starts out with a work program in the morning and school in the afternoon. There will be a complete library, science room, art room, gym, indoor sports facility, outdoor soccer field, garden, outdoor amphitheater, an equine program, and so much more. In a world where the family structure has just about completely crumbled, it is comforting to know that there is a place such as Silverado Boys Ranch to help restore and mend the families in need. Not only will Silverado Boys Ranch help families in need, they will be supplying full titne jobs with benefits to local residents. There will be an open house and job fair on Friday September 29th from 5:00-7:00 pin, and Saturday September 30th from 10:00-12:00 pm. The address is: 3800 South U.S. Highway 89. Let's all go and meet Dr. Gillman and his staff and show them that good old Panguitch hospitality. See you there! A MUH.
