She has 22 grandchildren and 42 np The Layton Arts LAYTON Council will host the second annual Layton High School Outstanding Seniors in Recital program May 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Layton Heritage Museum. The evening will be centered around the musical accomplishments of Layton High Seniors and will feature vocal and instrumental numbers from some of the citys best young musicians. THE ARTS Council will present their annual $200 scholarship to Leesha Ann Gibby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Gibby, Layton. Leesha has received this honor through her outstanding performance on the violin at an audition that was held recently to determine the recipient of the annual scholarship. Others trying for the scholarship award were Ayumi Kikuhara who played a recorder solo and Valaura Goddard, an outstanding soprano soloist. She attended the Weber State Orchestra Invitational contest. Leesha received superior ratings on her performances at the district and regional Solo and Ensemble Festivals. She was voted Junior Orchestra Student of the Year. LEESHA is a violin student of Dr. Michael Palumbos. She plans to attend Weber State College next year. In addition to musical performances by Leesha Gibby, Ayumi Kikuhara and Valaura Goodard, several other outstanding young musicians will be featured on the program. They include a vocal duet by Amy Kimball and Valaura Goddard, a violin and cello duet by Leesha Gibby and Michele Washburn, a piano solo by Nancy Roberts, a clarinet solo by Ranee Kays. Rotary Spearheading Fund Raiser For DUS Stadium Lights Kaysville Rotary Club is spearheading a fund raising campaign to collect money for new lighting at the Davis High Stadium, a project to benefit Kaysville and Fruit Heights. 4-- H MIKE Waggoner is Rotary Chairman assisted by Jack Oram, Rotarian. She is a member of the Layton High School orchestra and the Davis County Honor Orchestra. She has been active in the LDS Church as an organist and teacher and in all of the auxiliary organizations. He served in that position until 1953 when he was called as a counselor to Pres. I. Haven Barlow in the newly organized Layton Stake. In 1968 he was released and called as Patriarch of the Layton Stake and is still actively serving, having given nearly 900 blessings. When the Ogden Temple Promoted Uappy Birthday John M. ADAMS served as president of the organization 1971-7np To Celebrate 90th when he was appointed Davis County Clerk. He served in that position for IOV2 years until he retired in 1971 at the age of 76. Mr. Park has always been an active member of the LDS Church. He was a counselor in the bishopric at the age of 27, has been a scout leader and served in each auxiliary.
