NEW LOOK WILDCATS: Some personnel shifts have left the Wildcats with a new look, but based on the performance last week, nobody will want to argue with success. Grog Davis, the starting quarterback this season, has been moved to free safety, and he saw some action against Northern Aiisona last week. Kicker Roger Ruzek has also been busy as a flanker, and will likely see more action at that position. Freshman Mike Paris is back after some' surgery, and will likely see increased game action. In the defensive backfield the return of Elbert Gray was noted last week after he mb sod two games at cornerback. MOVIN SCORIN: The Wildcat offense, somewhat suspect in early season, may be getting a reputation. Eastern Kentucky, which was also ranked seventh, beat Fullerton, a PCAA team. This will be the second NABC committee McCarthy has served on. Assistant Basketball Coach Dick Hunsaker was also appointed to be the District VII representative on the Awards Committee. District VII encompasses the intermountain area and includes all of the WAC and Big Sky Conference schools.
