Show ' SOCIAL AMD PERSONAL l! Mrs. J. C. Lynch entertained the Crystal Card club Wednesday afternoon after-noon at her home. Misses Gertrude and Tessie McLaughlin McLaugh-lin were visiting in Salt Lake the latter part of last week, the guests of Frances Shields. Mrs. John Q. Ryan gave a dinner party par-ty at her residence, 767 Seventh avenue, New Year's, day, in honor of the blrtn-day blrtn-day of Mrs. Jbhannah Eggertsen. Air. and Mrs. Edward McGurrin left last week for Los Angeles. Thomas L. Powers left for San Francisco Fran-cisco after Christmas. Mrs. J. H. McChrystal, Miss Frances and Eugenie McChrystal, left last week for Long Beach, Cal., for the winter. Miss Katherine Fitzgerald of Ogden was in Salt Lake last week. J. C. Sullivan of Eureka, who has been in the east for the past month, registered at the Cullen last Saturday. James Hughes came down from Butte, Mont., to spend the Christmas holidays with his wife and daughter. Postmaster A. L. Thomas has been confined to his room during the past week with an attack of the grip. The K. of C. moved to their new quarters, 137 . East First South, this week, where they held their first meeting meet-ing Tuesday. The installation of officers offi-cers will take place next Tuesday. Mrs. Arthur Bird and her sister, Miss A. McCornick, left this week for New York. Mrs. O. .1. Salisbury entertained the Tuesday bridge tournament last Tuesday. Tues-day. Governor William Spry and family returned home on Tuesday. J. J. Daly and two sons are now in Los Angeles. Doctor Hosmer and family returned home Thursday. Captain Hugo Depriztn, prominent business man of Eureka, is ill at the Holy Cross hospital. Miss Eliza Bonner of Eureka was in Salt Lake last week. Mrs. David Keith returned from California Cali-fornia this week. Miss Delia Green of Tooele passed through the city last week on her way to Eureka, Utah. Mrs. James P. Driscoll and her niece. Miss Ella Donnelly, of Eureka were in the city" this week. Mrs. Driscoll came to see her father, Captain Deprizen, who is recovering from his late illness. Mrs. C. F. Zeigler of McGill. Nevada, spent Christmas with her parents. Before Be-fore returning to McGill she, with her mother, Mrs. Murray, will visit California. |
