good health on em Sunday evening on Monday morning mornin he be was but had no premonition of his hi approaching end He was among amonI his associates in the club Jub until noon lOOn and then not bas had an eventful ca en career career reer he was in public life UIe the greater gr par pa pare of ot sixty years ers he be filled many high offices and filled every one one well He Hews was ws universally respected by lt whom wl m he wa a 1 t io contact The T judge was born in Virginia April 33 3 1881 90 so that had he lived until next April he would have hae been 80 SO years old As a young man nina he studied stud law lawand lawand lawand and located in West Virginia He ae served in the legislature of his state was twice sent to congress and was one of the most moat active in securing for tor his state during the civil war He also 1180 represented his govern government go rn ment meat at Costa Rica and D later was ap appointed appointed pointed associate justice justlee of Wyoming Wy by President Grant He served in that lat t office for a number of ff years and then thene came e me to Utah in 1888 In 1891 he was made probate judge here and served in fn that office until 1895
