Show SPAIN WANTS INDEMNITY. Cuban Commissioners WIU Make Som Enormous Demands. Havana, Aug. 19, The government has appointed a Spanish commission to consider a definite base for a treaty of peace. The personnel of the committee, com-mittee, however, is notannounced. It is reported that the questions to be discussed are as follows: First Cession of territory and the determinalion of conditions and indemnification indem-nification by the United States against damage to public buildings, courts and the states lands. Second Indemnity for war and navy material mutually agreed on to come into possession of the United States. Third Conditions of, aud time for the evacuation by the troops and volunteers, vol-unteers, with the war material agreed on. Fourth Commercial and custom house advantages to be conceded. Fifth The recognition of property of all kinds of all Spanish citizens and guarantees to be offered them during their stay in tho island. Sixth The form of government ta be established in Cuba. |
