Show HOSTILITIES CEASE. All Blockades Raised and Many Vesseli Ordered Home. Washington, Aug. 12. In accordant with the proclamation issued by th president suspending hostilities, orderi were issued this evening to naval com manders at the several stations in th United States, Cuba and the Philip, pines, carrying into effect the directions direc-tions of the proclamation. The navj i department not only transmitted th( I president's proclamstion in full to th several commanders-in-chief, but alto directions as to the disposition of theit vessels. The following orders are in that sense self-explanatory: "Navy department, Washington, Aug. 12: Sampson, Santiag-o: Suspend all hostilities. The blockade of Cubl and Porto Rico is raised. Howell ordered to assemble vessels at Key West. Proceed with New York, Brooklyn, Indiana, Oregon, Iowa and Massachusetts to Tompkinsville. Place monitors in safe harbor in Porto Rloo. Watson transfers his flag to Newark and will remain at Guantanamo. Assemble As-semble all cruisers in safe harbor. Order marines north in Resolute. "Allen, Acting Seoretary." Navy department, Washington, Aug. 12 Remey: Key West. In accordance with the president's proclamation suspend sus-pend immediately all hostilitiei. The notification to Admiral Dewey was not made public, but Assistant Secretary Allen stated that betides being be-ing put in possession of the president's proclamation, he was ordered to cease hostilities and raise the blockade of Manila. In compliance with the orders tent, Admiral Sampson and Commodore Remey will each send a vessel around the coast of Cuba to notify the blockading block-ading squadron that the blockade has been raised. Admiral Schley, being on the Brooklyn and included in. the orders, that vessel will come north with her.
