The first election of officers for the club was also held at the meeting. At the last meeting of the Kearns Jayceettes, the newly elected officers settled into their new offices and positions thereof. The Jay- ceetes have established that they will run the JCs snow cone machine through the summer at the shopping center every Saturday. Reid Hodges, 8, son of James Hodges, was injured in an autobike accident Saturday at 4300 W. 4895 So. Tickets for the raffle are 25 cents each and may be obtained from members of the Lady Lions. Funds from the doll raffle will be turned over to the Jr. High Band Uniform Fund. With Founders Day nearing, we surely want the band students in uniform, so contribute now. The Kearns Stake will hold a Father & Sons Outing at Popular Grove the evening of June 25th. The Stake Aronic Priesthood will furnish super for the group the evening of June 26th. The two day program is under the direction of Frank Cottrell. The Eighth Ward of the Kearns Stake will hold officers and teachers meeting June 12th. Teachers and officers of all the organizations are asked to be present. June 13th will be pick-u- p day for newspapers that are being saved for the ward. Have them tied securely in bundles not over one foot thick. lf Meetings of the Kearns Town Council will be held once a month during the summer instead of the regular twice a month. Baptists Set Date For Coronation Sunday evening, June 14, the First Baptist Church of Kearns, will have a Coronation Service for 8 girls who will receive their awards for work done in the Girls Auxiliary of the church. This is an organization for girls from the ages of 9 through 16. They must learn Scripture verses, missions and missionaries of the Southern BaBptist Convention, and many other requirements before being able to take the steps.
