Show HOSPITAL HEAD MAKES REPORT By DR. FREDERICK DUNN. Superintendent, State Hospital, Who Makes the Following Report to I the State Board ot Insanity. During the month 23 ronilar patients and 4 voluntary patients were admitted, 7 regular patL-nfs were discharged, and 10 regu'ar and 3 voluntary patients pa-tients died, caving a total of 727 patients pa-tients regqinrly committed and 13 voluntary patients, or a total of 7-10 patients remaining on February 1. During the month there has been several cases of tonsillitis and pneumonia, but most of these recovered re-covered promptly. We are again pushing nnti-syphlitie treatments in those cases needing it. The health of the patients in general has been good. Thirteen deaths occured during dur-ing the month, five males and eight females. Of those, eight vcr.e caused by exhaustion of the insane, two by cerebral heinorhage, one by exhaustion of acute mania, one by general paresis and one by epilepsy. We believe that all departments of this institution are functioning efficiently and that the institution, speaking generally, is in good condition. |
