If such claims are being made, it is a reflection upon the honest andEincer-, andEincer-, ity of the first presidency, and all per sons who use euch persuasion should be rebuked The first presidency have emphatically emphatic-ally stated that the members of the church are entirely and perfectly tree in all political matters, and that if any man claims that it is the wih cf tbe first presidency that a democrat shall vote the republican ticket, or that a republican re-publican fchall vote the democratic ticket, let all people fenow that he is endeavoring to deceive the public, and is unauthorized to make such statements. state-ments.
