Blaine and Handy Han-dy have been friends for the past fifteen fif-teen years and Blaine came to the lat ter's room about an hour before the physician was called. Handy noticed that his visitor appeared sleepy and: shortly after his arrival he fell into a deep slumber. When he- made efforts ef-forts to awaken him and found how determined tht man was to sleep, he suspected that something was wrong with Blaine and telephoned for Dr. I Green, who, soon after his arrival, was assisted by a second doctor, J Efforts made by the police to trace i Blaine's movements prior to his arrival arri-val ai the Idanha have been without any definite results. It also has beV intimated by friends of Blaine that he was addicted to the use of morphine, but this story has not been proven to the satisfaction of other of the dead man's friends. Those who hold to the suicide theory the-ory say that Blaine has had considerable consider-able domestic trouble and that his home life for the past year has been anything but a happy one. There is the rumor of a quarrel taking place' over the telephone -about 1 o'clock yes-terdav yes-terdav afternoon. The body of the dead man was removed re-moved from the rooming house and now rests in the Larkins & Sons' fun-1 oral chapel. Intermingled with these two ! theories is a third, darker and less J certain, perhaps, but nevertheless supported sup-ported by a number of suspicious : facts. About 10:30 last night Dr. G. W. Green received a telephone call from ' the Idanha to the effect that a man j was dying. in one of the looms.
