Show Utah Power Plans More New Projects ; Extensive studies of electrical! power requirements in the inter- mountain area have been undertaken under-taken with the view of meeting tne needs of industrial mobilization mobiliza-tion made necessary by the emergency emer-gency national defence program, it was announced today by George M. Gadsby, president, Utah Power and Light Company. He said the results of the studies stud-ies so far completed by Ebasco Service and Utah Power engineers indicate the company will expend substantially more for new projects pro-jects this year than the $1,303.-000 $1,303.-000 already set up in the 1940 construction budget. Mr. Gadsby said rapid progress was being made on the new $140, 000 project for an electric distribution dist-ribution center near Salt Lake City, and additional distribution lines and equipment.
