Show ALUMNI BANQUET. Wasatch Alumni gave their annual ann-ual ba.nquet at the Academy Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. A renewed interest inter-est has been taken among the members mem-bers of the Alumni which could readily be seen by the large number num-ber in attendance. An elaborate five course dinner was served under the direction of Miss Winnifred Jensen, and Virge Johnson acting as Toastmaster. Miss Tina Ericksen giving a toast on Alma Al-ma Mater, a dinner toast by Burke McArthur, a toast on the Class of 1912 by Prof. C. L. Johns and Rex Jensen gave a toast on the faculty. Mr F. C. Jensen gave a brief history his-tory of the school and its growth in which he stated that he had attended attend-ed Wasatch Academy in its early days receiving his degree very early. The program given in the assembly assemb-ly room was well rendered and a credit to each one who took part. A violin solo was given by Miss Wet-more, Wet-more, vocal solo by Miss Allen, a short talk on European experiences and life in Paris by Miss Ella Nielson Niel-son who has jjust spent two years in Paris studying music and art. Reminiscences Re-miniscences of Wasatch Alumni was given by Miss Winnifred. As Mrs. Ed Wall and Mrs. Eloese Enose were the oldest members present, they gave appropriate music. The banquet ban-quet was unquestionably the best yet. . |
