' The two brass bands furnished music for the day which was appreciated by all. The children chil-dren enjoyed a dance in the afternoon, af-ternoon, while the married men played ball with the boys, the latter winning the game. Sports and other amusements were held about 6 o'clock and the day ended with a grand ball in the evening. Visitors who spent Pioneer day with us were: Lydia Eow-I Eow-I bury of Huntington. Mrs. E. J. Bigelow is visiting jj'with her daughter in Carbon county. Born, to Mrs. J. N. Madden, a girl, July 27th. Born, to Mrs. N. p. Aagard, a boy, July 2Sth, which only lived a few hours. Funeral services i' were held at 10 o'clock Tuesday at the residence with a very good attendance. Miss Lare Gunson of Salt Lake is spending a few days with Mary Jacobson. A. II. Allred and Henry Pet-: erson left for Idaho this week to find a location for a home. W. D. Livingston and Ezra Billings of Manti were here last Thursday night in the interest of organizing a progressive Roosevelt party. There was only on-ly a few present and the following follow-ing were chosen to act in the j organization, of this precinct, !
