Show The Daughters cf -Erin Entertain. I The grand musical and literary entertainment enter-tainment given under the auspices of the Daughters of Erin in the afternoon at Hibernian hall was an event in every way worthy of the national celebration, land of the high standard of excellence 1 which these ladies have ever main-Ltained main-Ltained in their entertainments. I The affair was more in the nature of a ! social reunion for the members, and in connection with the day's celebration i$ was gratifying to notice that a most: refreshing Celtic spirit enlivened the whole of the proceedings. A very at- tractive programme was presented, and , the Irish music, songs, recitations and dances were very much appreciated by those present, and indeed some of ar- tistic talent displayed might well have graced a more pretentious assembly. The beauties and grace of Irish step dancing were done full justice to, and the exhibitions in that line were accorded ac-corded a well deserved ovation. Mrs. John Leary, Centerville, filled the responsible position of presiding officer with much tact and graceful dignity. dig-nity.
