Show EAST AXTELOPE ORE BROUGHT TO SALT LAKE H.. E. Giers, secretary and treasurer treas-urer of the East Antelope Mining company, came up from the Mineral Mountain property in Millard county, coun-ty, yesterday tugging along a big chunk of ore as heavy as an Oregon boot, but with somewhat different psychological buoyant effect upon the mind of the tugger. This mineral mine-ral specimen weighs 51 pounds. The chunk shows galena cubes all through it, and is strongly impregnated impreg-nated with iron oxides and lime spar. Mr. Gier brought along also specimens speci-mens showing values in copper. The samples were taken from a drift off the 135-foot tunnel. This drift is out 140 feet westerly. It is estimated that it is 200 feet vertically ver-tically under ground. Mr. Gier reports re-ports the vein there to be three to four feet wide. It is a bedding in the limestone. . The samples of the copper ore were out of the same beddings. The directorate of the East Antelope is delighted with the new developments.; Herald. |
