The messy Saturday night massacre, which wiped out eight of Park City's warring dons, took place during the pasta course and victims, whose identities are being withheld pending arrival of telegrams to relatives in Italy, were found splattered in their spaghetti and fallen in their fettucini. Police do not want to speculate on the identity of the remaining dons, but the Swede Allev Moll, a notorious notor-ious gangland sweetheart whose man was rubbed out in the massacre, lists them as follows: Lloyd Stevens, who many feel has closed his Claim-jumper Claim-jumper restaurant to allow himself more time to prepare pre-pare for the fight ; Bob Wells, of Moana, who has been covering his underworld activities with a tent and "political meetings"; Vic Ayers, of Gump and Ayers, other gangland elements by hosting the huge party on November 10, at his Grub-steak Grub-steak Speakeasy; Craig Badami, of the Park City Ski Corp., who rumor has it is seeking help from out-of-state racket bosses on his frequent travels; Merle lluseth, of Royal Street, who many feel has a personal vendetta against Badami and is preparing for action; Bill McComb and Rob Morris, Mor-ris, of Capson, Morris and McComb, who are considering consider-ing joining their ample real estate forces in a mass move against the other dons and thus share control of the city; Hal Taylor, of Hal Taylor and Assoc., who returned from a recent trip to "visit a sick relative" accompanied by several pieces of suspicious looking uggage and three known numbers operators from the midwest; Rick Prince, of Prince Yeats, who is using his front as an upstanding legal counselor to mastermind master-mind a brilliantly conceived plan against the other dons; his brother John Prince, known for his heavy involvement involve-ment with "recreation" in Park City through the Alpine Slide and who many feel will go down the tube before this fight is over; and local gangland impressario Jody Bernolfo, said to be preparing prepar-ing a restaurant in the old Day's Market site, but felt by many to be using the location to house his arsenal. Savvy people around town will begin siding with the don of their choice by paying protection money and granting grant-ing favors. Expenditures last year were $499,334.00. For that money we did not even get a simple graded gutter system to channel storm water or protect the pavement from gravel and dirt deposition. WHY? 0 PARK MAINTENANCE Expenditures last year for salaries, wages and benefits were $15, 147.00. WHY? Perhaps wages and salaries for Park maintenance are low because Vista volunteers contributed labor. If this. is so I wonder why the city couldn't have appropriated a little more and hired a competent, com-petent, experienced professional to oversee the work and thereby make the most of the Vista contribution. LIBRARY IMPROVEMENT. Adopted Budget July 1, 1978 $26,435.00 Adjusted by Public Hearing (21,309.00) Final Budget June 1979 $5126.00 WHY? It seems that library improvement is simply a campaign promise. When it comes to appropriating ap-propriating the necessary funds no one cares. I wonder how many people attended the public hearing? At the hearing for the 1979-80 budget I attended in June of this year not more than 15 people including council members were in attendance. NEWSPEAK.!
