WHERAS, the water resources fotallv available for . municipal, do mestic, culinary, power, industrial and irrigation purposes in bait Lake ana Utah Counties, particularly in the cities and towns hereinafter named, are in general inadequate to safely sustain the increasing population ana business thereof; and WHERAS. the impounding, de velopment., transportation and distribution of water from sources now available will necessitate the construc tion and operation of costly works for the benefit of the populations of the several cities and towns herein named, which works may be constructed and maintained more advantageously by the consolidated resources and efforts of the populations of the said several cities and towns; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Water District Act of the State of Utah offers convenient means of organizing the areas of 3aid cities and towns into a governmental unit capable of financing, constructing, and operating the contemplated works; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Lehi City: SECTION I. That public convenience and necessity require the incorporation of a metropolitan water district, consisting of the areas of the cities and towns hereinafter named. SECTION II. That it is hereby nronosed to incomorate a metropolitan water district under the provisions of an act of the legislature of the fctate of Utah enacted in 1935, and known as the "Metropolitan Water District Act." SECTION III.
