Four Plead Guilty to Stealing Hides Two members of a bachelor boys' quarte t at Woods Cross are servim jail sentences, one is under suspendei sentence and the fourth is under probation as a result of the theft of 20 hides, according to Sheriff George Mann. The youths are Arrious Burnham, 26; Lawrence Lucker, 20; Burnham, 20, and Frank Wiser, Le-la- nd 17. Theft of the hides occured about three weeks ago, Sheriff Mann re- confessed, Eorted Tuesday. The boys that they had taken ten hides from the Calvin Roberts farm and ten from the Ezra Moss farm, later selling them to a Salt Lake firm for $10. Prior to the theft, the boys had left the homA of their parents and were keeping bachelor quarters in an abandoned house at the west extremity of Woods Cross. After selling the hides, the youths went to Timple in Tooele county, where they tried muskrat trapping. Driven away by a heavy snowstrom. they returned to Davis county and were arrested. The boys pleaded guilty when they appeared before Justice of the Peace John W. Hill, of Bountiful. Arrious Burnham was sentenced to 75 days in jail, with the privilege of reducing hia sentence by thirty days by paying a fine of $25, together with his share of the proceeds from the sale of the stolen hides.
