The statement is authorized that the Holy Week services this year will be the last held in the old St. Mary's cathedral at Denver. This will be joyous news to the Catholics of Colorado who have long lingered for a more suitable place . of worship. The property on Stout street has been Fold at a handsome figures enough to pay all the debts on the church at the present time, and leave a handsome Min-lus to commence work on the new structure. We presume work will begin be-gin without delay. Our congratulations congratula-tions to Father Colonnon. to whose untiring un-tiring zeal is due the present satisfactory satisfac-tory condition. DENVER NEWS NOTES. At St. Francis de Sales. Father Malone Ma-lone will preach on Easter Sunday. Drs. T. J. Carlin and Delehanty will leave for the East Sunday night. Father Malone has changed his residence res-idence from CIS South Water to 133S Downing avenue. The ladies of the different parishes vied with each other in preparing the Kepositories. Fath er Malone will deliver a lecture on 'Denver.-' at the Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce. Saturday evening. The report of the sale of the Cath-eira! Cath-eira! properly has been -confirmed. ; The attendance at the Holy Week serv ices was very large. At the ln:r.n Mass at Logan Avenue Chapel last Sunday, palms were bless-td bless-td and distributed. The music on this solemn occasion was excellent. The Young Ladies' Sodality of the Cathedral parish held a large meeting last Sunday and agreed to give a por-lion por-lion o.'" their funds to assist the Altar and Kosary society in decorating the Kepository. During Holy Week the Catholics of Denver have had many opportunities of hearing excellent sermons. On Holy Thursday Father Duffy preached at the Cathedral, and Father Callanan at the Annu:x iation, and em Good Friday a toii. hing sermon on the "Passion" wa delivered by Father Casey. It was a source of great edification to see th young men from Logan Avenue Ave-nue school assisting the reverend clergy cler-gy in the services of Holy Thursday and Good Friday. They were: Messrs.
