Show MISS STARR IS HONORED: A MEDALLION ER0I.I POPE LEO Eliza Allen Starr, the noted Catholio poetess and authority on Christian art, was signally honored Ia-t wefk by Fopw I.eo. who sent to her with the apostolic blessing, a beautiful medallion. The gift- is in recognition of her latest published work. "The Three Archangels, ami' Guardian Angels in Art." The medallion is in the form of a costly cameo, on whose face i a figure of the Blessed Virgin, a reproduction of "the Immaculate Conception." The transpar-j transpar-j ent stone is set in gold and the medallion ! was enclosed in a handsome cafe. It was transmitted by the lloiy Father to Miss Starr's home. St. Joseph's Cottage, Huron street, Chicago, through Rev. Mother Cabrini, the founder of tiie order of Missionary Mis-sionary Sisters, who is now in Rome. The honor is especially great, a.s women have rarely been the recipients of such valuable tokens of appreciation, and R is devoutly prized by Miss Starr.
