In a paid political announcement financed by Glen Jones and Gardell Snow, statements are made to the effect that James Ban-as- ky of Green River has been influential in obtaining the services of a full-tidoctor and a part-tidentist in Green River; at the same time insinuating that Mr, Banasky's statements that he has been working toward the same goals for the other side of the county are false. j I would like to set the record straight on at least three points: 1. Without the understanding financial assistance of Jim Banasky, Green River would not have the services of a full-tiphysician. 2. Green River would not have the pait-tiservices of a very fine dentist had it not been for several months' hard work on Jim's part, as well as his continued ' support of the dentist. 3. I know it to be a fact that for at least three months Jim Banasky has been searching for a physician and dentist to set up practices in tire western portion of Emery County. I routinely obtain two periodicals published . weekly for the Medical and Dental Professions which list communities seeking ear me me physicians and dentists, and dentists and physicians seeking communities in whicl to practice. It is nty understanding that he scans these magazines thoroughly, hoping to find a physician or a dentist who might be interested in setting up a practice in Western Emery County. In the interest of political fair play, may I say that we citizens of the Green River area of Emery County feel that we deserve county representation. At the present time the Green River area of Emery County has the largest assessed valuation of any incorporated town in Emery County. At the same time this area has two and one --half employees out of a total of 68 county employees; these employees being Dwendle Wilcox, Dep. uty sheriff, Edwin Wilcox, county maintenance man, and Mrs Shirley Harmon, part-tiLibrarian. Is it unreasonable for us in the Green River area to expect some votes for our candidate for commissioner from ed citizens from the other side of the county? fair-mind- Sincerely yours, ' H. T.
