Show LIONS CLUB HAS INTERESTING MEET Bingham Canyon Lions club held their regular semi-monthly dinner and business meeting Wednesday night at No. 2 Fire hall with President T. H. Mc-Mullin Mc-Mullin presiding. The program was arranged by the program committee and introduced by R. G. Benson, program chairman. Included on the program was an interesting talk by Murray B. Allen, executive secretary, Utah Commission for 'the Blind, who is also a member of the Salt Lake Lions club. Mr. Allen formerly for-merly lived in Bingham for many years and recalled many associations he made while in I Bingham. Vocal and instrumental instrument-al numbers were presented by two ladies, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Jeffs, from the Utah Commission Commis-sion for the Blind. Mrs. Jeffs rendered two vocal solos, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Jones played two piano solos. They also told of the work being done for the blind in Bingham district. Keynote speaker at the Meeting was Miss Ada Duhigg, director of Highland Boy Community Com-munity House, who gave the Thanksgiving message. Her topic was "Ways of Giving Thanks For Things in Our Every Day Lives." Forty three members and five guests were in attendance. k |
